Star Indian athletes attend education workshop

New Delhi, India, March 28, 2019: Top Indian athletes including sprinter Hima Das, heptathlete Swapna Barman and weightlifters Mirabai Chanu and Jeremy Lalrinnunga took part in an innovative team building exercise at the National Institute of Sports in Patiala on Thursday.

Syrian boxers dominate Arab Championships

Damascus, Syria, March 28, 2019: Syria’s boxing team ranked first at the recent Arab Boxing Championships in Sudan by winning four gold medals, four silver and one bronze, reports the Syrian Arab News Agency.

Qatar NOC President meets with Italian Ambassador

Doha, March 28, 2019: The President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, met with the Ambassador of Italy, Pasquale Salzano, in Doha this week, reports the Qatar News Agency.

IOC EB accepts Paris 2024 proposal for new sports, including breaking

Asian Games' ‘king of backstroke’ targets world record in Gwangju

Qingdao, China, March 27, 2019: After posting a season's best time in the 100m backstroke at the Chinese national championships, world champion Xu Jiayu is targeting a world record at the 18th FINA World Championships in Gwangju, Korea in July.
